The Prince Edward Island government says it wants to hear Islanders’ thoughts on changing the clocks twice a year. An online survey is currently open until Dec. 13. Islanders can voice their support for the current system, for year-round standard or daylight time. Several provinces across Canada have done away with time changes, including British Columbia and Alberta. “It’s a conversation worth having here on Prince Edward Island. How we observe time affects everything from our daily routines to how we do business with our neighbours,” said Premier Rob Lantz in a statement. “Before making any decisions, we want to hear what Islanders think and understand what matters most to them.” P.E.I. currently observes daylight time from March to November. Clocks move back to Atlantic Standard Time in the fall. With files from The Canadian Press For more P.E.I. news, visit our dedicated provincial page.
