An education assistant at Queen Elizabeth Elementary School in Kensington, P.E.I., is facing multiple assault charges following an investigation involving an eight-year-old student, according to police. Kensington Police Service says the investigation started after they received a complaint from the Public Schools Branch. As a result, the unnamed 38-year-old Kensington woman has been charged with: Police say the woman will appear in provincial court in Summerside at a later date. “As this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be released at this time,” said Kensington police in a statement.
