The Prince Edward Island government is offering $275,000 for projects that address systemic racism and improve knowledge of racial unfairness. Applications for the 2026-2027 Anti-Racism Grants are now open. Eligible projects should: “The Anti-Racism Grant has been instrumental in helping Pride PEI develop the Common Cents Club and begin meaningful consultation with BIPOC community members and partners,” said Cameron Cassidy, executive director of Pride PEI, in a news release. “Even in this early phase, we’re seeing excitement and interest in the project. We look forward to building on this momentum and moving into our next phase with purpose.” The deadline to apply for grant funding is 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 23.
