A 28-year-old man is facing charges following an assault in Charlottetown, P.E.I., Sunday. Charlottetown Police Services received a 911 call around 2 a.m. about an injured man running on Kensington Road while being chased by another man. “The investigation determined the 34-year-old injured male, and a 49-year-old male had been driven to a residence. The 34-year-old male was threatened and beaten with an object,” reads a news release from Charlottetown Police Services. Police say the injured man was able to escape and seek help by waving down traffic. He was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
