A 24-year-old man has been charged after police in Charlottetown, P.E.I., received a report that a firearm had been discharged. Charlottetown Police Services responded to a residence in the Hillsborough Street and Fitzroy Street area on Monday. “The investigation confirmed a firearm had been discharged inside the residence the previous evening,” reads a news release from Charlottetown Police Services. Officers executed a search warrant, which police say lead to the seizure of two shotguns, ammunition, a security system hard drive and a cellphone. The 24-year-old was arrested and charged with careless use of a firearm and two counts of unsafe storage of firearm.
