Charlottetown has announced more T3 Transit busses will run during the weekend. Beginning this Saturday, Routes 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12 and 23 will operate seven days a week. The city says the expansion will be the third and final T3 Transit service upgrade to be rolled out this summer. The new Saturday service is as follows: Sunday service now includes: Evening and weekend service enhancements were previously outlined in the capital region municipalities’ 10-year transit plan. “Expanding weekend service makes public transit a more practical and convenient option,” said Coun. Trevor MacKinnon, chair of the City’s Environment and Sustainability Committee. “These improvements give residents more flexibility to use transit for work, appointments, shopping and other weekend activities around Charlottetown.” Sunday service was previously limited to Route 1 along University Avenue.
