A man is facing charges after an alleged stabbing in Springhill, N.S. A 50-year-old woman went to the Springhill RCMP detachment on Sunday and said she had been stabbed by a man she knew inside a home on Queen Street. She was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers then went to the home and found the suspect. Police say he refused to come out and he said he had a firearm. The Nova Scotia RCMP Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services also responded to the scene and the man was arrested. Austin Charles Wayne MacKenzie of Springhill has been charged with: The 27-year-old appeared in Amherst provincial court on Monday.
