The Windsor Street Exchange intersection in Halifax will be closed to traffic for a portion of the weekend. The Bedford Highway will be closed in both directions between Windsor Street and the Joseph Howe Drive ramps from 10 p.m. on Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday. “This is to facilitate the safe removal of an overhead sign structure that crosses the full width of Bedford Highway. The removal of this sign will enable the upcoming construction of a detour road that will support future phases of the Windsor Street Exchange project,” reads a news release from the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). HRM is warning drivers to expect delays. Access to Bedford Highway from the MacKay Bridge and Highway 111 will not be impacted by this work, according to the release.
