Two men were arrested after an altercation in Lower Sackville, N.S., led to one of the men attempting to ram the other with his vehicle, according to RCMP. Police say they responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of a gas station on the 200 block of Cobequid Road around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday. Responding officers learned a Mazda 3 had struck a gas pump and several parked vehicles before leaving the area. The damaged Mazda 3 was located on Dickey Drive a short time later. Police say the driver told officers he had been sitting in his parked vehicle at the gas station when a man known to him exited another vehicle and assaulted him. In a news release Tuesday, police say investigators determined the man had used the Mazda 3 to ram the other man’s vehicle before he left the scene, and in the process, struck a gas pump and several parked vehicles. The driver of the Mazda 3, a 25-year-old Mount Uniacke man, was arrested for assault with a weapon and dangerous operation of a vehicle. The other man involved in the altercation, a 22-year-old from Gays River, was arrested for assault. Both men were later released on conditions and are set to appear in court at a later date.
