Two people are dead following a three-vehicle collision in Nova Scotia’s Antigonish County on Thursday. Emergency crews were called to the scene on Highway 104 between exits 30 and 31 around 2:25 p.m. Police say officers learned a Honda CRV was rearended by a Dodge Ram 2500 towing a trailer and was pushed forward into a semi trailer. Traffic was slowed at the time as they were near a construction zone. The driver of the Honda CRV, a 67-year-old man, and the 56-year-old female passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene. They were from Paq’tnkek. Police say the drivers or passengers of the other vehicles were not injured. The westbound lanes of Highway 104 were closed for several hours as a collision reconstructionist was on scene. They have since reopened. The investigation is ongoing.
