Two people have died following a crash in Auburn, N.S., Saturday. Emergency services responded to a report of a collision on Highway 101 around 11 a.m. “Officers learned that an eastbound Chevrolet Impala and a westbound Ford Escape had collided,” reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP. A 63-year-old woman from Prospect, N.S., who was the driver and lone occupant of the Escape, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 34-year-old man from Cambridge, N.S., who was the driver and sole occupant of the Impala, was also pronounced dead. Highway 101 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
