The third-annual Shop the Hall Christmas Craft Show took place at the Italian Canadian Cultural Association of Nova Scotia on Agricola Street in Halifax on Sunday. The craft show is part of the North End Business Association’s Holiday Market. “We partner with the Last-Minute Christmas Craft Show to get their vendors and artisans in a space where they can have a craft market for the holidays,” said Kathy Colaiacovo, secretary and treasurer of the association. “It’s just a way that we can really get community in our doors so that people can see what our talented artists… in the community here have to offer.” Entry to the event was by donation and helps the association put on Italian cultural heritage programs, said Colaiacovo. “This is one of our big fundraisers,” said Sandra Gardin, president of the association. In addition to arts and crafts, there were plenty of Italian snacks available at the show from pizza to panini and lots of sweets, including tiramisu and cannoli.
