The Nova Scotia RCMP has arrested and charged three people in connection with a home invasion in Truro Heights on Saturday. Officers responded to a reported assault at a Parkwood Drive residence around 3:30 a.m. They learned four people had allegedly forced their way into the home. “One of the women, armed with a knife, threatened to stab the residents if the two men accompanying her weren’t allowed entry,” an RCMP news release reads. The women left the scene and the men allegedly assaulted the residents – a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman – before fleeing the area in a Hyundai Elantra. The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release. Police found and arrested the four occupants in the Elantra. Lucas Charles Brooks, 31, from Sipekne’katik, was charged with: He appeared in court on Monday. A 34-year-old Bayside man and a 19-year-old Truro woman are also facing charges related to the incident and are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 16.
