Police in Halifax are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at a business over the weekend. Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery at a business on Spring Garden Road in Halifax around 8:20 p.m. Saturday. Police say staff told officers a man threatened them with a knife and demanded cash. “Staff were not physically injured and the suspect fled on foot with a quantity of money,” reads a news release from police. Officers searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect. The force describes the suspect as a man who is about five-foot seven, aged 60 to 65 years old, with a heavy build and full white beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black zip up jacket, an army grey tracksuit with a black stripe down the side of the pants, a camo green ball cap, black shoes, bright orange gloves and sunglasses.
