Halifax police say there is no evidence of a bomb at Saint Mary’s University after they responded to a threat on Tuesday afternoon. Officers received word of the threat from the university’s security team around noon, according to a police news release. People were told to evacuate and avoid the area as police conducted their investigation. Sections of certain streets were closed, including Inglis Street, Robie Street, Gorsebrook Avenue and Tower Road. The area reopened after police determined there was no threat to the public around 2:55 p.m. Police say Dalhousie University also received a similar threat on Tuesday.
