One man is dead and two people are in hospital with serious injuries following a collision in Enfield, N.S., Sunday morning. Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 102 north of Exit 7 around 11:24 a.m. Police say a southbound GMC Sierra crossed the median and became airborne before colliding with a northbound Honda CRV on the roadway. The driver of the Honda CRV, a 51-year-old Quebec man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, also from Quebec, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by EHS LifeFlight. The driver of the GMC Sierra, a 38-year-old man from South Carolina, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Highway 102 at Exit 7 was closed for several hours while the RCMP’s Collision and Reconstruction Service completed its work. Police say the investigation is ongoing, and they’re looking to speak with anyone who has information on the collision, or who may have dashcam footage.
