The Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating the death of a 51-year-old man who suffered injuries linked to an electrocution earlier this summer. Emergency crews responded to a report of an injured man at a commercial property on the 3000 block of Highway 321 in Oxford on Aug. 2. The man went to hospital for an electrocution that happened on July 29, according to an RCMP news release. “The electrocution was not a workplace incident,” the release reads. The man, who was from Amherst, died from his injuries on Oct. 5. Police believe criminality was a factor in the incident, but say there is no risk to the public. They say other people were with the man during the electrocution and they want to speak with them. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 902-896-5060, or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
