Man, woman charged after drugs, money seized in Dartmouth

A man and a woman are facing charges after drugs, money and other items were allegedly seized in Dartmouth, N.S.

Halifax Regional Police executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Yorkshire Avenue around 4:15 p.m. Friday.

Police say they found and seized a quantity of drugs, money and stolen property.

A man and woman were arrested.

Investigators executed a second search warrant at a storage locker in the 400 block of Windmill Road around 9:10 a.m. Sunday.

They found and seized a firearm.

A 43-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date.

He will face charges of:

• possession for purpose of trafficking (two counts)
• possession of prohibited weapon (two counts)
• possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

A 37-year-old woman is also set to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of:

• possession for purpose of trafficking (two counts)
• possession of prohibited weapon (two counts)
• possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
