A man is facing weapons charges after police responded to a medical call in Bridgewater, N.S., Monday afternoon. Paramedics and Bridgewater Police Service were called to a business on Dufferin Street after a man appeared to be in medical distress outside. Officers believed the man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and took him into custody. Police say one of the officers saw the stock of a long gun in plain view with the man’s bags. No injuries were reported. Police say they seized a number of shotgun shells and a black 12-gauge shotgun. The 39-year-old Lunenburg County man will be charged with: He was released on court-ordered conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater provincial court on Dec. 16.
