A man has died following a house fire outside of Port Hawkesbury, N.S., last Friday. Emergency crews responded to the scene on Kings Road in Pleasant Hill around 8:45 a.m. Police say bystanders went into the home and pulled a man out after the fire started. He was later pronounced deceased. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, the Nova Scotia Office of the Fire Marshal and RCMP Forensic Identification Services also responded to the scene. “Criminality is not believed to be a factor based on information and evidence collected as part of the investigation,” reads a news release from the RCMP.
