A 27-year-old man has been charged with nearly a dozen offences following an assault in Pleasant Valley, N.S. On Sept. 30, the RCMP says emergency services received a 911 call with no voice contact, but yelling could be heard in the background. After a callback, officers were told a woman had been assaulted by a man she knows at a residence on Highway 224. According to police, the woman indicated the man had access to weapons and she was leaving the residence for her safety. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. When emergency crews arrived, police say nearby residents were told to shelter in place as a precaution. Police used its dog unit as well as a drone to track the suspect before making an arrest around 2:20 a.m. Police say officers then executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Sipekne’katik. An airsoft pistol and airsoft rifle were also seized. Jordan Patrick Naugle has been charged with: Naugler appeared in court on Oct. 1 and 6. Police said he remains in custody.
