Police say a man has been arrested for impaired driving after he was pulled over on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore Saturday night. An RCMP officer saw an eastbound Dodge Nitro “drifting from side to side within its lane” on Highway 7 in East Ship Harbour around 10:15 p.m. The officer then pulled the vehicle over. Police say the driver was showing signs of impairment and he allegedly failed a roadside breath test. The man, a 45-year-old from Halifax, was arrested and taken to the Sheet Harbour RCMP Detachment. Police say he provided two breath samples that registered 150 mg% and 140 mg%. The unnamed man was released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date.
