A man is in custody after allegedly barricading himself in a Conquerall Bank, N.S., home for nearly five hours last Friday. Police responded to a reported assault in the 700 block of Highway 331 around 3:10 a.m. They learned a woman had been allegedly assaulted by a man known to her and later left the property to call for help. The woman went to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to an RCMP news release. “When officers arrived at the home, the man had barricaded himself inside the residence,” reads the release Around 8 a.m. he exited the home and was arrested. The unnamed man was charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault and failure to comply with an undertaking. He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
