A 29-year-old man is facing an assault charge after he allegedly tried to show “sexually inappropriate” pictures to a Halifax construction crew and punched one of the workers last week. Halifax Regional Police says it responded to a reported disturbance on the 5800 block of Spring Garden Road around 8:30 p.m. Friday. An unknown man allegedly approached a group of construction workers and, after trying to show the sexually inappropriate pictures on a cellphone, tried to instigate a fight, according to police. The man allegedly punched one of the workers and hit him in the head with the cellphone before throwing a rock through a pane of glass and fleeing the scene on foot. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
