An East Amherst, N.S., man has been arrested in relation to a copper wire theft, according to police. The Amherst Police Department says they received a call shortly after midnight on Friday from a company saying someone had illegally accessed their property and stole copper wire. The company was able to provide video footage leading to police identifying the suspect. In a news release Friday, police say they located and arrested 40-year-old Sean Gale. He was charged with: Police say Gale was also charged in relation to a previous incident on Saturday where he allegedly used counterfeit bills at a business. As a result, he has also been charged with: Gale made a court appearance on Friday and was remanded into custody. He is set to appear in court again on Nov. 9.
