A 2024 double homicide has been added to Nova Scotia’s rewards program for unsolved crimes. Police responded to a report of an abandoned and burned vehicle on MacLean Road in Greenhill, N.S., around 2:10 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2024. Inside they found two bodies, which were identified in December 2024 as those of 32-year-old Keleana “Kelly” Trask of Truro, N.S., and 34-year-old Tyler Meagher of Grand Prairie, Alta. Police believe the fire was intentionally set, and that Trask and Meagher were already dead before it started. Up to $150,000 is being offered for information related to the case. “Investigators believe people may have the information they need to move these cases forward,” said Attorney General and Justice Minister Scott Armstrong. “I urge anyone with information about what happened to Ms. Trask and Mr. Meagher to contact the rewards program and help bring justice and closure to their loved ones.” Officials say anyone with information should call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090. People who come forward with information have to give their name and contact information and may be called to testify in court. Those who would rather stay anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). There are now 123 active cases in the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program.
