Staff at the Atlantic Institution seized contraband and unauthorized items worth more than $112,000 on Monday. Correctional Service Canada (CSC) says staff at the maximum-security facility in Renous, N.B., seized: The total estimated value of these items is $112,150, according to a CSC news release. “(CSC) uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions,” the release reads. “These tools include ion scanners and drug-detector dogs to search buildings, personal property, inmates, and visitors.” The Atlantic Institution is a facility for men with a capacity of 331.
