A 28-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly fled the scene of a crash and caused a disturbance outside a hospital in St. Stephen, N.B. The RCMP responded to a report of an all-terrain vehicle collision on Route 3 in Old Ridge just before 11 p.m. Thursday. When officers arrived, they learned the ATV driver had threatened people with an “edged weapon” at the scene of the single-vehicle crash before fleeing. No injuries were reported. A short time later, police received reports the same ATV driver was damaging property and vehicles outside the Charlotte County Hospital. RCMP officers found and arrested the man on Route 5 in St. Stephen around 12:45 a.m. Friday. “An edged weapon was seized during the arrest as part of the investigation,” said police. Travis Leroy Fishwick of St. Stephen is facing charges of mischief, failing to stop for police, and carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Fishwick appeared in Saint John provincial court on Friday. He was remanded into custody and due back in court on Tuesday for a bail hearing.
