A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Florenceville-Bristol, N.B., according to RCMP. Members of the Western Valley Region RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 105 at around 6:30 a.m. on Friday. “The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a tree,” read a news release on Saturday. Police say the driver, a 40-year-old man from Beechwood, N.B., was taken to hospital where he died as the result of his injuries. The only passenger, a 46-year-old woman from Johnville, N.B., was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Police say an autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man’s exact cause of death. A RCMP collision reconstructionist and the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office attended the scene and are assisting with the investigation, which is ongoing.
