Charges have been laid following a firearms investigation in Woodstock, N.B. The Woodstock Police Force said officers found a firearm and an undisclosed amount of ammunition while executing a search warrant at a house on Elm Street on the evening of June 2. Police said their investigation involving a resident began on May 20. “Due to the potential risk posed to the public, police officers, and the subject of the investigation, assistance was provided by members of the Fredericton Police Force Emergency Response Team,” said police in a news release Friday. “Specialized tactics, including specialty munitions, were utilized to bring the operation to a safe and swift conclusion.” A male was arrested at the scene and has been charged with: Police said the accused will remain in custody through the weekend.
