A 70-year-old man who had been serving a sentence at Dorchester Penitentiary for 24 years has died, according to Correctional Service Canada (CSC). Thomas Landry died in custody at the New Brunswick facility on Monday. CSC says he had been serving an “indeterminate sentence” since March 6, 2002. “As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances,” a news release reads. “CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.” For more New Brunswick news, visit our dedicated provincial page.
