CTV meteorologist Kalin Mitchell will provide a burn report each weekday to ensure you’re up to date on Campfire Conditions.

The risk of wildfire inreases each year between March and October, which is why the three Maritime provinces implement burn restrictions.

Each day during fire season the provinces review weather data to determine whether there will be burn restrictions for the remainder of the day:

Before you start burning, check with your municipality to avoid violating local laws. Your municipality may have a burning restriction that overrides the provincial burning map restrictions.
