Where schools are closed in the Maritimes Tuesday

Nova Scotia

• Tri-County Regional Centre for Education: Due to hazardous road conditions and to allow for time for snow removal, all schools and worksites are closed.
• Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education: All schools, offices and worksites are closed due to weather and road conditions.
• South Shore Regional Centre for Education: Due to road conditions, all schools and worksites will be closed.
• Halifax Regional Centre for Education: All schools are closed due to poor road conditions, and to allow for cleanup following the winter storm.
• Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education: All schools (Cumberland County, Colchester County, Pictou County and the Municipality of East Hants) will be closed due to road conditions.
• Strait Regional Centre for Education: Classes are cancelled at all schools due to weather and road conditions. All schools, buildings and worksites will delay opening until 11 a.m.
• Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education: All schools and worksites are closed.
• CSAP: Classes are cancelled at all schools. The offices will open at 10 a.m.
• Acadia University will delay opening campus until 12 p.m., with classes resuming at 12:30 p.m.
• Dalhousie University: Halifax and Truro campuses are delayed opening until 10 a.m.
• Saint Mary’s University will delay opening the campus until 10 a.m. to allow for snow removal.
• Mount Saint Vincent University will delay opening until 10 a.m.
• NSCAD will delay reopening all campuses until 10 a.m.
• St. Francis Xavier University will delay opening until 11 a.m. with classes resuming at 11:30 a.m.
• Cape Breton University: Campus is closed for the morning. The status of afternoon classes will be announced at 10 a.m.
• NSCC: Some campuses are closed or delayed opening.

New Brunswick

• Anglophone West School District: Schools in Zones 4 to 9 are closed due to weather conditions.
• Anglophone South School District: All schools are closed due to road conditions.
• Anglophone North School District: Rexton, Miramichi, and Bathurst area schools are closed. Jacquet River, Dalhousie and Campbellton schools are open with no delays.
• Anglophone East School District: All schools will be closed for the day.
• Francophone South School District: All schools are closed.
• Francophone Northeast School District: All schools in the Acadian Peninsula and the Chaleur region are closed for the day due to weather and road conditions. Five schools in the Restigouche region remain open.
• Mount Allison University: Campus will be closed. All on-campus classes, labs and activities are cancelled.
• University of New Brunswick: The UNB Saint John Campus is delaying opening until 10 a.m.
• NBCC: St. Andrews Campus is opening at 9 a.m. Moncton Campus will be opening at 10 a.m.

Prince Edward Island

• Public Schools Branch: Classes are cancelled due to weather and travel conditions.
• French Language School Board: All schools will be closed.
• University of Prince Edward Island: Charlottetown and St. Peter’s Bay campuses will be closed for the day.
• Holland College: All Holland College locations are closed for the day due to inclement weather.
