The Irish Descendants are bringing their annual holiday show to Atlantic Canada this December. The Newfoundland and Labrador group is scheduled to play 19 shows across the region featuring songs from their two Christmas albums, plus some new original seasonal songs, and stories “reminiscent of long-lived old-time holiday celebrations from ‘The Rock.’” “An Irish Descendants Christmas has become a holiday tradition, and we can’t wait to hit the road to see old friends and make new ones,” said frontman and guitarist Con O’Brien in a news release. O’Brien will be joined by band-mates Rowan Sherlock on mandolin, fiddle, piano and vocals, Jeff Kinsman on bass and vocals, and Madeline Carter on fiddle and vocals.
