TORONTO - The list of various peanut products recalled by Canadian food safety regulators over fears of possible salmonella contamination has now grown to include 112 products.

A dozen more products were added to the recall list late Tuesday while the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has corrected information about seven other products on its list that can be found on its website.

The latest snacks to be recalled are Kawartha Dairy Heavenly Hash Ice Cream in 1.5- and 11.4-litre sizes manufactured in Canada and another 10 American-made products under the Oh Yeah!, Disney, Sinbad Sweets and No brand labels (sold at Johnvince bulk food store).

The agency says the products may have been distributed nationally, but no illnesses in Canada have been reported as a result of their consumption however a Canadian who travelled in the U.S. and purchased a product there did become ill.

The recall follows a widespread salmonella outbreak in the U.S. tied to a peanut processing facility in Georgia.

The outbreak has made more than 500 people sick and has been linked to at least eight deaths.
