Geoff Osborn joined the CTV News assignment desk in July 2000. He started as the overnight assignment editor, helping to cover major world events like 9-11, the London terror attacks in 2005 and the Japanese tsunami in 2011. Prior to joining CTV, Geoff graduated from the Broadcast Journalism program at Canadore College in North Bay, Ont., before landing his first job at CKLP radio in Parry Sound, Ont. where he became the news director and morning news anchor for 10 years. An avid sports fans, Geoff lists covering the Toronto Blue Jays 1993 World Series championship as one of his career highlights. He’s also a big movie buff, music lover and watches too much reality TV. Fun random fact: Geoff is the owner and still proudly displays a bag dirt taken from home plate in 1985 when the Toronto Blue Jays won their first division title. He speaks English.
