TORONTO - The Toronto Raptors appear set to reward head coach Dwane Casey for leading the team to within two victories of the NBA final.

Several online reports say the two sides have agreed to a new three-year contract worth US$18 million.

Casey guided the team to a franchise-best 56-win regular season and the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto beat the Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat in the playoffs before falling to the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in six games.

Casey, who was entering the option year on his current deal, has served as Raptors head coach for almost five years.

A team spokesman declined comment on the reports.
