OAKVILLE, Ont. -- Brandt Snedeker sank a seven-foot putt to eagle on 18 and surge to the top of the leaderboard at the RBC Canadian Open.

Snedeker shot a 6-under 66 on Saturday to move 15 spots up and take sole possession of the lead at the PGA tour event at nine under.

Canadian amateur Jared du Toit followed that up with a 40-foot putt for eagle on the same hole to finish the day in a tie for second with Dustin Johnson.

Johnson started the day as co-leader with Luke List, but took a step back to sit at eight under with du Toit.
