Social media lit up when new Toronto Maple Leafs Coach Mike Babcock referred to the franchise as "Canada's team."
At a news conference Thursday, Babcock told reporters, "I believe this is Canada's team and we need to put Canada's team back on the map."
Hockey fans across Canada took to Twitter to vent their frustrations with the new coach's comment, asking about the country's other six teams.
One Twitter user called it "arrogant," while another wrote, "If the Maple Leafs are Canada's team then I'm moving to the USA."
