Will Jimmy Fallon soon be donning a Montreal Canadiens jersey on his late night show?
Habs fans would like to think so.
The Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers are set to faceoff in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final on Saturday. Both teams are vying for a spot in the Stanley Cup final.
Through their official Twitter account, the Canadiens proposed a bet to the comedian and host of The Tonight Show. It took a couple hours of consideration, but Fallon finally accepted.
The bet?
If the Rangers win the series, a picture of Jimmy Fallon will be the Canadiens’ twitter avatar for a day.
If the Habs win the series, Fallon must sport a Canadiens jersey during one of his late-night television monologues.
Bet, @JimmyFallon? @NYRangers win series, your face = our Twitter avatar for a day. We win = you wear our jersey for a monologue. #GoHabsGo

NOT THE ONLY ONE: Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre has reached out to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio via Twitter, proposing a friendly wager.
The New York City mayor has yet to respond.
NOT THE FIRST TIME: Montreal has been involved in other friendly wagers during the 2014 NHL playoffs.
Mayor Coderre won a bet with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh after the Habs eliminated the Bruins in Game 7 of a heated second-round series. As a result, a Montreal Canadiens flag will fly outside Boston City Hall.
Mayor Walsh has yet to make good on the bet but promises to do so.
Mayor @DenisCoderre will be sending us a flag - thank you Mayor. When the flag arrives, we will honor our end of the wager.
