Just before the Chicago Cubs made history in Game 7 of the World Series, thousands of people were sharing a mysterious tweet from 2014 that had accurately predicted the game -- including the 10th inning.

That tweet was written by Florida resident Lenn Fraraccio, who has suddenly become a source of awe and admiration.

“You’re my thirteenth interview,” Fraraccio told News Channel on Thursday.

So how did he predict the future?

“Here’s what happened. Joe Maddon was the manager of my favourite team here, the Tampa Bay Rays. And on November 4th, 2014, he signed a $25-million contract with the Chicago Cubs,” he said.

“I thought, man, it’s just going to take him one or two years to get to the World Series. I’m going to write on Twitter that it’s 2016, because they have Theo Epstein, who’s a fantastic general manager.”

The problem was the other team. Who else would make it to the World Series?

Fraraccio is originally from Ohio and says he grew up a Cleveland fan.

“I knew they had very good, young, pitching staff with (Danny) Salazar, Trevor Bauer, and they had (Corey) Kluber locked up, so I thought the pitching would go well. That’s how I got the two teams.”

As for the premonition about apocalypse, Fraraccio says he’s probably just a week early.

“Next Tuesday, we got an election in the States where the world may end. So I may be right on that one.”

However, those wondering how he got the 10th inning correct may be disappointed.

“Blind luck,” he said.
