FREDERICTON -- New Brunswick Liquor says liquor sales were up this summer compared to last year.

NB Liquor says the company's second-quarter sales were up three per cent to just under $112 million.

The Crown corporation says wine sales and other beverages, including ciders and ready-to-drink beverages, increased by $2 million, while beer sales were up $1 million.

NB Liquor president and CEO Brian Harriman says nice weather and successful promotions contributed to the increase.
