Election 2015 in the Prairies: The ridings that went red

Twelve of 62 ridings in the Prairies were won by a Liberal MP Monday night. While most of the seats have remained in Conservative hands, there were some notable Liberal gains in this region:

• Randy Boissonnault in Edmonton Centre
• Jim Carr (gain) in Winnipeg South Centre
• Terry Duguid (gain) in Winnipeg South
• Doug Eyolfson (gain) in Manitoba’s Charleswood-St. James- Assiniboia-Headingley
• Ralph Goodale in Regina-Wascana
• Kent Hehr in Calgary Centre
• Kevin Lamoureux in Winnipeg North
• Darshan Kang (gain) in Calgary Skyview
• MaryAnn Mihychuk in Manitoba’s Kildonan-St. Paul
• Robert-Falcon Ouellette (gain) in Winnipeg Centre
• Amarjeet Sohi (gain) in Edmonton Mill Woods
• Dan Vandal (gain) in Manitoba’s Saint-Boniface-Saint Vital
