Representatives of the U.S.-led anti-ISIS coalition are set to meet on Thursday in Quebec City, CTV News has confirmed.

Sources say the closed-door meeting will include retired U.S. general John Allen, who was appointed by President Barack Obama to co-ordinate the international effort.

The coalition called for a redoubling of its efforts to fight the extremist group in Iraq and Syria last month at a conference in Paris.

The group has used a combination of airstrikes, intelligence sharing and other assistance to help Iraqi ground troops.
