TORONTO -- LMFAO received at least one rave review after hosting the MuchMusic Video Awards -- but it came from LMFAO themselves.

"That was our first time (hosting), but it looked like we'd been doing it every night," said the duo's Redfoo backstage, speaking in front of a media assemblage clad in leather pants and an animal-print smoking jacket, with a plush zebra adorning his fanny pack.

"Nat-ur-al," agreed his partner, SkyBlu.

The outrageous party-pop duo made for a drastic change from the family friendly stars who have steered the show in recent years, including Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.

Both appeared in thongs at some point during the two-hour telecast on Sunday, and the show's opening skit found the duo rhyming off each and every curse word they weren't allowed to say on air (naturally, they were bleeped).

They also got the chance to cavort onstage with Canadian breakout pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, to appear in a skit alongside Katy Perry and to "shuffle" next to "Modern Family" star Rico Rodriguez (though not his TV mother Sofia Vergara, Redfoo noted ruefully backstage).

Still, they joked that they had even better material that didn't make it to air.

"The naked skit with Selena Gomez, they struck that as soon as we presented it," SkyBlu said to laughter.

"And remember we were supposed to tear off Katy Perry's blouse?" added Redfoo.

More seriously, the duo -- whose freewheeling dance tunes "Sexy and I Know It" and "Party Rock Anthem" have both topped the charts here -- said hosting the MMVAs was an "amazing experience" and extended enthusiastic praise to Canada as a whole.

"Canada has always been the first place that has received LMFAO. We went to No.1 here first and that showed the rest of the world, and after that we went No. 1 in 18 other countries," Redfoo said.

"We love Canada, and the people love us, and we will come back here forever. We might have to get dual citizenship because that's how long we'll be here."
