Lindsay Lohan has fired her lawyer.
The ‘Canyons’ actress sacked Shawn Holley, who has represented her through her numerous court appearances, and hired New York attorney Mark Heller, according to gossip website TMZ.
Mr. Heller reportedly informed Shawn in a letter that he was taking over as Lohan’s legal representative, which she received just as she was on her way to a courthouse in Los Angeles to try to negotiate a settlement for Lohan, 26, who has been accused of lying to police.
The 'Liz & Dick' actress was involved in a crash on the Pacific Coast Highway near Los Angeles in June and was charged after she told officers she was a passenger in the car involved, when she is believed to have been driving.
When officers interviewed her assistant Gavin shortly after the crash - at the hospital where Lohan was being treated - he is believed to have told police 'Liz & Dick' star Lohan was driving.
This statement backs up the account of the truck driver Lohan hit, who also claimed he saw Lohan behind the wheel.
Lohan was put on probation after being found guilty of stealing a necklace in July 2011, for which she was sentenced to 120 days in prison and 480 hours of community service.
