The man with all the answers is now a piece of trivia himself.

Answer: This Sudbury-born presenter has been given the Guinness World Record for having hosted the most episodes of a game show. Question: Who is Alex Trebek?

On Friday, Trebek was presented with the record for “most game show episodes hosted by the same presenter (one program)” after his 6,829th episode of the TV quiz show Jeopardy!

“I’ve had the good fortune to be associated with a program like Jeopardy!” Trebek said in a video posted by Guinness World Records. “It also means I’ve been around a long time.”

The show is now in its 30th season with Trebek at the helm. Jeopardy! itself holds the record for most Emmy Awards won by a game show with 29, including Trebek’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards.

And the University of Ottawa graduate shows no signs of slowing down his pace. Trebek has only missed a single episode of the game show in his three decades of hosting. Pat Sajak took over the role during a 1997 April Fools’ Day prank that saw Trebek swap places with the Wheel of Fortune host.

The 31st season of Jeopardy will begin airing in September.
