SUSSEX, N.B. -- Officials say a 50-year-old New Brunswick man has died after suffering a head injury at an Irving sawmill.
WorkSafeNB says the accident occurred Monday at the J.D. Irving Inc. sawmill site in Sussex.
It says the man sustained a head injury in the chipper building at about 1:10 p.m. and later died in hospital.
It didn't offer any other details about the incident.
WorkSafeNB issued a stop-work order and investigators were on site to determine the cause of the accident and whether there were violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
