OTTAWA -- Two men are in custody after a double stabbing near Carleton University in Ottawa.

Police were called to the scene (near the O-Train light rail station) around 11:30 a.m. Thursday for reports of an altercation.

Police say the men got into a fight and stabbed each other.

One of them was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

It's not clear whether the men were students at the university or what may have spurred the fight.

Police say both of them were arrested so officers can question them. There's no immediate word of any charges.
