The three Quebec inmates who escaped prison by helicopter are now atop the list of the province’s 10 most wanted.

Surete du Quebec tweeted a link to the website that places Yves Denis, Serge Pomerleau and Denis Lefebvre amongst Quebec’s most sought-after offenders.

The website, run in partnership with the RCMP and several other Quebec police services, gives a detailed description of the men’s appearances as the search for the trio broadens.

Yves Denis is listed as 1.75 metres tall and 61 kilograms in weight. The 35-year-old has brown hair and brown eyes, and is described as having a clown tattoo on his right arm, a circle on his left hand and scars on his belly.

Serge Pomerleau is 1.80 metres tall, weighing 113 kilograms. The 49-year-old also has brown hair and brown eyes, but no reported marks or scars.

Denis Lefebvre stands the tallest of the three at 1.86 metres, weighing 99 kilograms. The 53-year-old has brown hair and brown eyes like the other two, and has no reported marks or scars.

All three are listed as being Canadian citizens who speak and write French. Each is wanted for murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and escape, according to the site.

The trio have been the subject of a province-wide manhunt since escaping Orsainville Detention Centre in a green-coloured helicopter around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Quebec provincial police say authorities across the rest of the country and in the United States have also been put on alert.

Police say the three were originally arrested in 2010 as part of a large drug trafficking bust called Operation Ecrevisse (Project Crayfish, in English). During the raid, police also seized a plane and a helicopter, as well as $905,000.
